The University of Trento (UniTrento) is a dynamic, middle-sized and research-oriented university structured in 10 Departments and 3 Centres featuring high quality teaching and research facilities. Its international positioning is clearly outlined in international rankings: UniTrento ranks indeed first among the 15 Italian universities of the THE-Times Higher Education Rankings and it has been confirmed among the very few Italian universities which have been ranked by QS World University Rankings. UniTrento has signed agreements with universities from all over the world that offers students, PhDs and staff the possibility to further enrich their academic career by spending a study (exchange mobility, double and joint degree programmes), research or training period abroad.

The Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI) provides a dynamic and qualified response to the ever-increasing, leading-edge competency demands in the field of information and communication technology, drawing from a productive fabric at the local, national and international level. It participates in the TEAM project, in particular via its networking and multimedia laboratories. Its ICT Doctoral School is one of the largest in Italy, with more than 40 positions open every year.
