ICT at NAIST

The Graduate School of Information Science (GSIS) undertakes high-level fundamental research in information science, while systematically training students to be pioneering researchers and engineers in the areas of information science and engineering.
GSIS has three divisions: Computer Science, Media Informatics and Applied Informatics. Our Graduate School promotes studies of human information systems, including communication, information management and information processing, as well as more advanced information technology in such areas as human sensing and decision making; next-generation robot technology; infrastructure and management of network security; and bioscience. The educational program fosters expertise in research and development for future technology.

Housing facilities at NAIST: The Guesthouse Sentan is available for incoming doctorate candidates, post-doctorates and staff. A lounge and a fitness center are on the first floor, and reasonably priced accommodations: 27 single and 2 twin rooms are on the second to fourth floors for researchers and other people visiting the university. Single: 60,000 JPY /month ( 450 EUR/month)
